Bio
Born in 1954, Daniel G. Blum first resided in a three-story brick apartment building on Arkansas Avenue, NW and was raised in a 1950's-era split-level home in Rockville, MD. After earning a degree in Physical Sciences and the University of Maryland, Mr. Blum worked in a building science laboratory at the National Bureau of Standards (Now N.I.S.T.) on a variety of heat-loss and solar energy projects. He retained a specialty in energy, briefly researching projects within the DOE's National Solar Data Network. It was through a former colleague in this office that he came in contact with a leading home inspection company and the "HomeBook" inspection reporting system which he still uses today. After performing several thousand inspections using the HomeBook, Mr. Blum established Integrity Home Inspection Services, Inc. as an independent business in the District of Columbia and serving the surrounding jurisdictions.
