Levels of Membership
ASHI is dedicated to helping our members progress their careers by encouraging them to reach new heights as leaders in the home inspection profession.
All home inspectors joining ASHI, regardless of their experience, begin at the Associate Level.
Members can move up to higher levels at their own pace. It is a requirement of the Inspector and Certified Inspector levels of ASHI membership that you maintain your home inspector license if your state requires licensing. See the requirements below for each level of membership.
Membership Dues Refund Policy
The ASHI Board of Directors approved a membership dues refund policy that applies to all new and renewing members who seek to cancel their membership and request a refund of their membership dues and associated fees. There are no membership dues or fee refunds except for multi-inspectors. Exceptions to this policy require approval by the Membership Director or the Executive Director.
Refund for members sponsored by multi-inspector companies before 90 days. When a multi-inspector company pays membership fees on behalf of a member, the company will only receive a refund if the company or the individual requests that their membership be canceled, and a refund issued. If the membership is not canceled before 90 days, there will be no refund. The member may renew their membership as an individual.
Refund Process: To request a refund, members must contact ASHI at membership@ashi.org. The request must include the following information:
- Full Name, address, and email
- Membership ID (if applicable)
- Reason for the refund request
- Relevant documentation (if required)
Review and Approval The ASHI Membership Department will review and process all refund requests within ten business days of receiving the request.
