The ASHI School offers an in-person Pre-licensing class. The Inspector Foundation class is an introduction to home inspection, covering everything you will need to start your home inspection career, how to operate a business, and how to perform home inspections that adhere to the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) Standard of Practice and Code of Ethics. We offer this class with two options

Option Two: The 93-hour class runs under a week (six days), Monday thru Saturday, and includes at least one field event. This class contains information offered in our 120-hour course but at a faster pace. Our ASHI Certified instructors are experts in the field.

We also offer on online version called the Essentials through our online learning platform the ASHI Edge. The online Essentials course is credited at 60 hours, allowing students to work at their own pace and review past material as needed.

Specialty Classes

Specialty classes in home inspection are advanced training courses that provide home inspectors with specialized knowledge and skills in specific areas of home inspection. These classes go beyond the basics of general home inspection and delve deeper into the nuances and complexities of specific systems or components of a home.

Some of our specialty classes we offer cover topics such as:

  • Radon
  • Mold and Moisture
  • Pool and Spas
  • Wind Mitigation
  • Commercial Inspections
  • Report Writing
  • Thermography and more

Home inspectors can expand their expertise by completing specialty classes and offering more comprehensive inspections to their clients.
